The City Council will consider Ordinance 26-028, certifying the 2027 property tax levy to Brookings County, and Ordinance 26-029, authorizing a budget amendment to the 2026 budget. Council will also vote on Resolution 26-061, which seeks grant funding for a shared-use trail and enhanced crosswalk. A public hearing will be held on Resolution 26-053, which levies assessment for concrete maintenance and sidewalk replacement work. Council will vote on Resolution 26-062, authorizing the City Manager to negotiate with Tegra Group for owner's representative services related to renovation of the Dacotah Bank Center, and will consider Resolution 26-060, revising the special assessment policy. An ordinance authorizing Budget Amendment No. 7 to the 2026 budget will have its first reading, with second reading scheduled for October 13. The council will also discuss the Brookings Downtown Third Space and consider temporary alcohol licenses. Public comment is limited to three minutes per person.
