A walk to raise awareness of veteran suicide starts at Volga Veterans Memorial at 9 AM. The event name refers to 2.2, the average number of veterans lost to suicide each day. All proceeds go to three South Dakota organizations that serve veterans and first responders: SD Service Dogs, Wings of Valor, and Warriors Never Give Up.
