The Week Ahead in Brookings: September 21–27, 2026
Brookings County commissioners set next year's budget this week, with a public hearing and vote on the 2027 provisional budget taking place at the county commission meeting Tuesday, September 22 at 8:30 AM at the City-County Government Center. The budget also includes a separate vote on a five-year plan for highway road and bridge spending. Residents can attend and comment during the public hearing before commissioners act.
