Silent Film with Pipe Organ: Buster Keaton’s “The General”

Buster Keaton's 1926 silent film "The General" screens with live pipe organ accompaniment by Ben Model, an acclaimed silent-film historian and organist. Model, who has spent more than four decades creating and performing live music for silent films, performs his original score. The film is set during the Civil War and combines Keaton's comedy with themes of perseverance and national identity. This is the sixth appearance of the annual Silent Film with Pipe Organ tradition at SDSU.
