Dakota Nature Park: Hours, Location and What's There

A 135-acre park on a former landfill site, restored into trails, ponds, and wildlife habitat. Open for fishing, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, biking, bird-watching, and — in winter — snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Includes the Larson Nature Center, run by the Brookings Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department. Find it at 22nd Ave S and 32nd St S, Brookings, SD 57006. Hours: Daily 6am–11pm.
