The Brookings Regional Growth Alliance hosts a New Resident BBQ on Tuesday, September 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Park. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the event moves indoors to Hillcrest Elementary School, 304 15th Avenue. At least four City Council members may attend, but no official city business will be conducted there. It's a chance for newer residents to get acquainted with the area.
