The Brookings County Commission meets July 21 at 8:30 a.m. with a public hearing on Ordinance 2026-04, which would set requirements, fees, and regulations for alcoholic beverage licenses in the county. Commissioners will also consider a resolution to buy two generators, including installation, through Sourcewell, and three resolutions authorizing grant applications for bridge improvement funding on five structure numbers. Other items include an appointment to the Brookings Human Rights Commission and a first look at the 2027 budget.

Also on the calendar: a special commission meeting July 30 to canvass results of the gubernatorial runoff election, and National Night Out on Kasan Avenue in Volga on August 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.
