The 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration takes place Friday, June 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 6th Street and First Avenue. Enough City Council and Human Rights Commission members may attend that a quorum could technically be present, so the city has issued formal notice — but no official city business will be conducted at the event. It's a community celebration, not a council meeting.
