East Central Communications Council (E-911) — Thu, Jul 16, 2026

The East Central Communications Council (E-911) meets July 16 at the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3rd St., Room 300. The dispatch center serving the area is now fully staffed following a recent academy graduate. Members will also review a proposal for radio system consulting services and discuss a recent power outage in which the City of Volga directed calls to the dispatch center, raising call volume and affecting dispatch operations. Other items include a review of allowable expenses for the dispatch center and a report on emergency siren testing. The next meeting is set for October 15.
